Supplier

A supplier is the party in the procurement process that supplies goods or services. Supplying means to produce it itself, imports it from anywhere or be a dealer.

Suppliers differ from contractors, sub-contractors or vendors, which commonly add specialized input to deliverables.

A supplier may be on any position in a supply chain but behind the end-customer or OEM and may be between other suppliers too.
