Cookie

A cookie is a piece of data stored by a website within a browser, and then subsequently sent back to the same website by the web browser.1) The web server has the possibility to store information on the client (normally the web browser). These information can be read back when the user visits the website again. An example is when a browser stores your passwords and user ID's.2)
